About Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina, also called Marsa Dubai, is a waterfront district built around a man-made canal that runs for about 3 km beside the Gulf shoreline. Emaar Properties developed it, HOK Canada designed it, and the planners took inspiration from Concord Pacific Place on False Creek in Vancouver. Sea water was channelled inland to create the central waterway, and close to 8 km of landscaped public walkways now line the water. The skyline is dense: the Phase II block is a cluster of skyscrapers, mostly between 250 and 300 metres tall, including Cayan Tower, Ocean Heights and Ciel Dubai Marina. The district lies at Interchange 5 of Sheikh Zayed Road, between Jebel Ali Port and the Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City business zones. Dubai Marina is well served by public transport.
