About Wedyan – The Canal
A Kengo Kuma Tower on the Dubai Canal in Business Bay
Wedyan – The Canal is the first Dubai building by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, developed by Al Ghurair Collection right on the Dubai Canal waterfront in Business Bay. The design takes its cue from desert valleys and dunes: rounded, wind-carved bands of terrace wrap the tower, with planting spilling over every level.
The gardens are designed by the London landscape studio Gustafson Porter + Bowman. With only a few large homes per floor, the project is aimed at families and buyers who want a big, private residence on the water close to Downtown Dubai.

The tower stands on the bank of the Dubai Canal in Business Bay, where promenades, cycle paths and cafes follow the water towards Jumeirah and the coast. Sheikh Zayed Road, the city's main north-south artery, runs just beside the district.
